2. WHAT DOES DISCRIMINATION MEANS?
For many people,
discrimination is an
everyday reality.
Discrimination is the
unfair or prejudicial
treatment of people
and groups based on
characteristics such
as race, gender, age
or sexual orientation.

3. ''Fighting discrimination and promoting intercultural
dialogue is a collective responsibility but it is also down
to individuals. And since the media and media
professionals have a major role to play in combating
discrimination and encouraging intercultural dialogue,
and have them debate and propose solutions for
promoting a culture of tolerance and mutual
understanding, bearing in mind the media's contribution
to informing the public and forming opinion.''
