2. BIOGRAPHY
If there was one word that could describe the talented DJ
and Producer Jean Pierre, it is passion. Born and raised in
the concrete jungle of New York City, this ‘Borough Beatman’
from Queens has done nothing but live and breathe
music for the past decade. Jean Pierre likes to find unique
records that transform his sets into riveting musical journeys.
At only 28 years old, Jean Pierre’s music has become globally
recognized by its mature sound that is well beyond
his years. Not only is he one of the most popular tal-
ents in the very competitive NYC club circuit, but he has
also found praise in South America and Europe alike. He
has graced the 1’s and 2’s while visiting international des-
tinations like Spain, Germany, Ecuador and Colombia.
Jean Pierre’s New York following is arguably one of the
most loyal fan bases a musician could have. Due to their
overwhelming support, Jean Pierre has made an unprecedented
rise o royalty in the historically tight-knit NYC club community.
While most artists have had to deal with club owner’s
demand for numbers, Jean Pierre has always provided
massive turnouts and in turn has become a regular at some of
NYC’s most popular venues such as Pacha, Cielo, Marquee,
Santos, System, Area, Ravel Rooftop, and Governors Island.
Jean Pierre’s transformation from diamond in the rough
to respected producer began with his track ‘The Night’.
In collaboration with DJ/producer Ortzy, the two worked
relentlessly in a state-of-the-art studio based in Colombia
and to their surprise, the track was signed by the reputable
Younan Music. After receiving support from leading industry
artists such as Boris, Chriss Vargas, Cristian Arango, Saeed
Younan, Rob Mirage, Paolo Mojo and Sander Kleinenberg,
Jean Pierre shifted focus to his productions and sound.
Since then, he has had many productions and remixes
featured on labels such as Waveform Recordings , Nervous
Records, SK Supreme, Infamous Recordings, among others.
One of Jean Pierre’s biggest tracks “Who You Mad At” was
included in Loco Dice’s Defected In The House compilation in
2013.HehasreceivedsupportfromA-listtalentssuchas;Luciano,
Marco Carola, Gary Beck, Steve Lawler, Santos, Mike Frade,
Bimas, Yaya, Joeski, Nicole Moudaber, and Victor Calderone.
Most recently, Jean Pierre has been hard at work on a
number of high profile projects that include several
collaborations. His track “Pippen Song” with Oscar L
was included in Chus & Ceballos Miami 2015 Compi-
lation. By spending countless hours in his Long Island
City based studio, he has begun to amass a catalogue that is
nothing short of impressive. Jean Pierre’s meteoric rise into
the scene can only be attributed to the unbridled passion he
possesses for his craft. His love for music moves him in every
way imaginable because he lives, breathes and dreams music.
