1. Completing Section One Using the Maximus I-9 Mobile App

2. New Employee Experience
 After accessing the application, the new
employee selects whether they would
like to view the application in English or
Spanish.
 The employee has access to the
USCIS I-9 Instructions and List of
Acceptable Documents.
 Section One will be completed in five
simple steps.

3. Step One
• The employee creates a
username and six-character
pin that will secure their
electronic signature.

4. Step Two
• The employee selects their
work location from the drop-
down fields presented.

5. Step Three
• The employee enters their
information in the data entry
fields:
• Name
• Social Security Number
• Date of Birth
• Home Zip Code
• Citizenship Status

6. Step Three
• The employee enters the
following information in the
data entry fields:
• Home Address
• Email Address
• Phone Number

7. Step Four
• The employee indicates
whether they had assistance
completing section one of the
I9.

8. Step Five • The employee approves and
signs the document.

9.  The employee has completed section
one of their I-9. The form is now
available for the employer’s
representative to complete section two.
