1. Amit Bandyopadhyay
Amit is a Metallurgical Engineering graduate from I.I.T. BHU, ranking 6th in his batch and
trained at I.I.M. Ahmedabad for Senior Management Operations. He has more than 40
years experience in the Core Sector Industries. Secured and executed more than 14 major
projects, mainly in Continuous Casting and Rolling Mills on EPC basis.
Amit also developed expertise in Strategic Planning, Manufacturing, Operations and
Corporate Planning, serving L&T for 25 years followed by Senior positions in Danieli,
Mukand and Tata Projects.
After he quit Tata Projects as Vice President in 2015 Amit took up a whole time Consultancy
assignment at Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Ltd (a wholly owned Subsidiary of Tata
Steel Ltd)sharing his expertise in Business Strategy and Manufacturing.
A keen sportsman, Amit Captained his Institute and represented the University in various
games and sports. He has won Championship awards in Inter-Varsity Debate and a
renowned speaker in industrial topics serving as guest faculty in reputed Engineering and
Management colleges.
