5. A Time for New Beginnings.
• Sometimes dreams do come true, as it did for Allen Newsome, his wife Meledy and their son
Joseph. Hilton Hotel Chef, Allen Newsome from Fayetteville, was promoted to Head Chef in
February 2013, and offered a position at a Hilton Hotel in Florida. Says Allen;
• “It has been my life long dream to become a head chef, and I think I’m doing quite well at my
age for a position like this. What gave my career a boost was having the opportunity to work
alongside Chef Charteau for two years in Chelsea London.”
• Not only did Allen relocate, but also his wife Meledy, a top sales executive was promoted and
chose to relocated at one of her company’s offices which happened to be in the same town in
Florida as her husband’s new position. How’s that for double success. Meledy shared with us
yesterday;
• “It has been both our dreams to relocate to Florida, but we hadn’t expected a double
promotion!”
• After the move was complete over the spring break, Meledy and Allen shared an evening of
celebration with their families, who all drove 15 hours in tote, from North Carolina to Meledy and
Allen’s new location along the panhandle of Florida’s coastline.
