She volunteers with several nonprofits including the U.S. National Committee for UN Women, has traveled to over 10 countries and plans to visit Indonesia this summer. Up next? 2. WHY
COMMUNU-
CATIONS
When I was in 7th grade, my teacher tasked our
class with writing a poem. My poem ultimately
got published in a national poetry book and
that moment opened doors for me to
experiment with writing and communication.
Once I entered college, I declared my major as
communication with a minor in sociology – a
sweet spot for me since I like to examine norms
and inspire positive change.
