-Keeps finances of the society, and help organize events as outreach to the community. Our goal
is to advance knowledge of science to our community through the sponsorship of events and
opportunities.
Research Experience
Independent Research Project 2012-2013
In collaboration with Dr. Aaron Wyman (Asst. Professor of Biology, Spring Arbor University), I began
an independent research project investigating the biochemical, molecular, and cellular roles of AtHINT2
and AtFHIT.
University of Michigan School of Pharmacy REU 2014
Worked in Dr. Laura Olsen’s laboratory, completing independent research project focused on potential
peroxisomal proteins AtHINT2 and AtFHIT. A final poster, manuscript, and presentation were
completed for this project.
University of Michigan MacAlister Laboratory 2015-Present
Began research project involving cell wall associated glycoproteins, specifically Leucine rich extensin
proteins (LRX).
2. Work Experience
Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church September 2012-January 2013
Nursery Assistant
- Babysitting children of young mothers between the ages of 0-2 years during Mom’s Club
meetings.
Phonathon September 2012-2013
Caller
- Calling alumni, friends of the university, and current parents in order to raise money for Spring
Arbor University’s Arbor fund, which funds scholarships for most students on campus.
Admissions Office-Spring Arbor University February 2013-May 2013
Caller
-Responsible for calling potential students of Spring Arbor University, working alongside
admissions representatives to inform students about upcoming campus visit opportunities, and calling
incoming Freshman to ensure comprehension of their financial aid packages.

-Responsible to aid in all laboratory projects and grading assignments for two different lab
sections.
