Voskhod Mining Company utilizes electricity
to heat up the mine at the suction side of
ventilation system.
Usually heating up the system is not required during summer,
half of spring and fall. However, temperature drops below -40°C
during harsh winters. It even drops further down by turbid air
generated by ventilation force in the mine.
Voskhod led the introduction of natural
gas to the village as Ongar, which is the
closest village to the mine.
The village did never receive natural gas service
in its history.
Therefore Yilmaden Holding took responsibility,
invested in, and built the pipeline that runs 12
kilometers in total. The entire cost of the
project, calculated at USD 731,600 was met by
Yilmaden.

Yilmaden Holding invested more than 350,000 USD and refurbished two elementary schools in
Kazakhstan’s Khromtau oblast. The schools of Don and Ongar villages were not repaired for nearly 30 years.
