1. KATE FORTE
NEW YORK, NEW YORK
Quite simply, you’ve won the lottery if you work with Alison.
As President of Harpo Films, Alison was my Executive Assistant for seven years. She’s
extraordinary on every level. Capable. Organized. Efficient. She not only kept me on track,
she ran the entire office.
Alison has all the needed obvious skills but there is a special ineffable quality. It is her
personality, her ability to galvanize me and the entire office to do whatever needs to be done.
Strong and warm. Funny and deep. Intuitive and practical. She garners unwavering respect
from all because she, too, rolls up her sleeves, tirelessly working. She pushes - but with an
enthusiastic and fun spirit. Every single person in my office loved and respected Alison. I relied
on her in all aspects of my life. She handled it all with quiet aplomb and poise. Her commitment
and loyalty were unparalleled.
In addition to being President, I also produced all the Harpo projects. Alison was always on set
with me. Although she never had the title, she acted like a co-producer. First one on the set in
the morning, last one to leave at night. Many times, she was my eyes and ears to what was going
on in all departments. On the set too, her winning and strong personality was evident. Because I
straddled executive and producing duties, Alison somehow kept it all manageable for me. She
made me shine.
Without question, I unequivocally guarantee Alison. I just wish I could hire her. But, alas, I
now work in New York.
