Working Title: ‘Paws For Thought’

              Topic of Documentary: Dogs

Type Of Documentary: Our documentary will be a mixed
documentary, it will include interviews, archive material a
               voiceover and observation.

Style of Documentary: Our documentary will be done in
Standard English and will also be informal to engage the
                      audience.

 Channel and Scheduling: Our Documentary will be on
          Channel 4, Sunday 27th at 6.30pm.

 Target Audience: The target audience will be aimed at
         families that do or do not own a dog.
Primary Research Needed:

                  • Locations for filming

                     • Source Material

                       • Cutaways

 • Potential interviewee’s which could possibly include Paul
  O’Grady, Dog owners, Vets, People who work with dogs e.g.
      Kennels, Breeders, Dog Shows, Guide dog trainers.
Secondary Research Needed:

   • For the secondary research we will find things such as the
   history on topics such as Breeding, Guide dog training and the
               uses of Guide Dogs and agility lessons.

  • Statistics about dogs and about breeding, guide dogs, agility
                 lessons and the cost of having a dog
Narrative Structure:


                      • Closed Ending

                  • Single-Strand Narrative

   • The documentary will be Non-Linear as it will not be in
                    chronological order
Outline Of Content:

  •   We will film where dogs are taken. Such as The RSPCA,
       Kennels, Dog Groomers, Vets, Park, Homes and Dog
                             shows

                           •   Vox Pop

  •    Archive Material will be used in places this will include
        footage of dogs in films, using this will highlight how
      popular dogs are and also footage from the Paul O’Grady
                                 show.
Resource Requirements:
     • HD Video Camera and memory card

                  • Lights

               • Microphone

               • Radio Studio

                   • PC

          • Adobe Premiere Pro CS3
