5. " Voltage and Reactive Power Control in Electrical Distribution
Networks "
The project used three methods to control the distributed voltage
and reactive power in order to optimize power losses, these
methods are :
1. Tap changer
2. Shunt and series compensation
3. SVAR
The methodology was applied to SAHAB and MOWAQAR power
distribution stations utilizing the computerized tool ETAP program
to simulate the outcomes by which the optimal solution of Tap ratio
and compensation ratio gave the minimum power losses.
