The MedBIC is made for start-ups and new
businesses in medical and advanced engineering,
providing purpose-built work and innovation
space and a wealth of business and technical
support. Centrally located in Chelmsford, Essex,
The MedBIC is run by Anglia Ruskin University and
supported by industry and local government.
Enterprising individuals and start-ups in medical
and advanced engineering can now apply for
our Proof of Concept Programme. This scheme
provides up to £10,000 of support, taking ideas
from a late concept stage through to launch or
getting them in shape to attract further interest,
funding or investment.
Support will include up to six months business
accommodation at The MedBIC. You’ll also benefit
from business mentoring, innovation and research
assistance, and access to high-quality prototyping
facilities, testing and clinical trials.
