• Reason for painting: He drew a nautical chart and
he did record Penang on it.
4. Background of Zheng-He(painting)
• He was a Hui court eunuch, mariner, explorer, diplomat, and fleet admiral
during China's early Ming Dynasty.
• Born in year 1371 in Kunyang,Yunnan, China.
• Died: 1433 (aged 61–62)
• He commanded expeditionary voyages to Southeast Asia, South Asia, the
Middle East, and East Africa from 1405 to 1433.

12. Background story of “Win Win situation”
• It started when the Chinese merchants in Penang started business with Ngah
Ibrahim in the tin-mining industry.
• The reason this art is called ''win win situation'' is because the business made
Ngah Ibrahim one of the richest Malays in the region, while the Chinese
merchants also gain enormous profits.
• The tin-mining industry also brought modernization and improvement in
Penang.
