3. Setting Up
• Place materials in places
• Find a good location to set up
• Put rocks in a circle
• Place sticks In Teepee formation
• Get lightweight materials in middle of rocks
4. Starting Fire
• Once everything is set up, light the match
• The first part is to light is kindling
• Blow slowly onto the fire to keep it going
• Slowly add small sticks then large
• Make sure sticks are arranged in cone
5. Keep the fire going
• Continue to add kindle when necessary
• Also add sticks when others burn out
• Martials being added to fire must be dry
• Make sure the fire has enough ventilation
• Use a long stick or a fire poker to move the logs and woods
around
6. Tips
• If the wood is red that is a good sign
• Build the fire next to a large rock to reflect heat
• Make sure the materials being used are all dry
• Look for dry branches on the ground
• Don’t play around to much with the fire otherwise it will die
out
• Have backup materials near
