The West Africa AIDS Foundation (WAAF) is a registered nongovernmental organization (NGO) founded in 1999. The organization focuses on research, advocacy, care and support. WAAF regularly organizes community outreach programs to provide education and counseling with the aim of inducing behavioral change, especially in areas with high incidence of HIV/AIDS in Ghana.
By respecting human dignity and diversity WAAF creates an atmosphere of
trust, which enables people living with HIV/AIDS to make informed choices. We welcome everyone irrespective of age, gender, sexual orientation or socio economic background.
WAAF's mission is to help battle the spread of HIV/AIDS and mitigate its effect on communities by providing care and support centers and developing and implementing pragmatic intervention programs.
WAAF's vision is to set up comprehensive health care centers in all regions of Ghana.
