I have had the pleasure of employing Abbey Crockett for the last four years. Abbey has
always displayed a passion and maturity well beyond her years, and has been a critical member
in each of the many areas of camp she has contributed to.
Abbey has had many accomplishments at Camp Muskoka lncluding: she was the first
staff member in our history to be hired as a program head at 16 (program heads are usually
required to be 18). She has created and designed entire program areas. She has been on
multiple committees including theme days, lice check, security, and staff rec, allof which go well
beyond the scope of her assigned duties. She also was the only staff that held a separate
position of employment at our Camp Muskoka Coffee House on top of her weekly duties at
Camp.
Each of Abbey's roles at Camp has always been fulfilled with a unique passion and
enthusiasm. She is a constant source of creative thinking, tireless energy, and overflowing
positivity. She has managed to find ways to innovate her programs, rather than repeating the
same programs and continues to work to further create an experience that is meaningful for all
campers. She is always open to accepting constructive feedback, and is able to use that
feedback to improve her results
Beyond any of her concrete achievements, Abbey is a unique, passionate and a strong
leader. Our Staff are drawn to her personality, her strength, and her positivity. She never backs
away from a challenge, and is always available to help with advice, action, or just empathy and
support. She deeply cares about the children at our camp, the staff that she works with, and the
overall success of the organization.
I highly recommend Abbey if you are truly looking for a superstar. Any organization or
event would be very lucky to have her.
