Project Description:
Airtel Africa is a subsidiary of Indian Telecommunications Company, which operates in 17
countries across Africa. It operates a GSM network in all countries, providing 2G or 3G depending
upon the country of operation.
Interactive voice response (IVR) is a technology that allows a computer to interact with humans
through the use of voice and DTMF tones input via keypad.
In telecommunications, IVR allows customers to interact with a company’s host system via a
telephone keypad or by speech recognition, after which they can service their own inquiries by
following the IVR dialogue. IVR systems can respond with prerecorded or dynamically generated
audio to further direct users on how to proceed. IVR systems deployed in the network are sized to
handle large call volumes.

It provides RBT-Ring Back Tones (Caller tunes, Hello tunes, Welcome tunes) products and VAS
products to mobile customers of all operators in India. Mobile customer calls to different MM
numbers provided by the operators across India to subscribe for the particular application such as
MovieStar etc Portals. After subscribing and paying the charges they can listen to their favorite
tunes or search their favorite music. They can also set any of their favorite songs to Caller Tunes
etc so that their callers can enjoy whenever they call.
