1. WHY PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE DOGS

People think that dogs and humans are completely different. I’m here to
tell you that dogs need play time just as much as we do. It is important for dogs
to get good exercise, show creativity and improve their behavior.
The first reason why it is important for dogs to have time to play is they get
good exercise. For example, once I came rolling down a hill and my dog saw me
and jumped right on top of me. Then she got some grass and started running
with it, acting like it was a chew toy. She seemed to be having a great time
because, she was barking, jumping around, and her tall was wagging. In addition
to being a lot of fun, exercise is important because it helps dogs get healthy and
stay active.
The second reason why it is important for dogs to have creativity when
they play is, for example, “boom!” “Gracie” she’s my dog and I think she just
discovered snow. The first time she was out in the snow I couldn’t see her at first
because she was a puppy and the snow taller then her. Once I called her, she
surprised me by jumping out like almost playing hide-’n-go-seek with me. She
was being very creative because most dogs don’t play hide-’n-go-seek.
The third reason why it is important for dogs to have time to play is getting
outside and playing helps improve their behavior for example. Once when Gracie
stared playing really hard she was biting, jumping up and down then right away
when I yelled ‘sit’ she dropped her toy and sat. Then I told her to sit up. That’s

2. when her front paws are up and her belly is showing. I could tell that she was
having a great time, learning and behaving.
Why dogs should be able to play is because it gives them exercise, shows
creativity when they play, and helps them behave. Even though it is a lot of work
I think it’s still worth it to have a dog because they will become a part of your
family.
