should apply for a type Z visa for China. The dependents of an individual who received a type Z visa
will also be issued a type Z visa.
A China student visa is a type X visa. Anyone who wishes to seek higher education in China by
attending a college will need to obtain a type X visa. The visa will remain valid for a different period
of time depending on how long the course of study is. You should have your type X visa traded in for
a Residence Permit within thirty days after arriving in the country. You can have your visa converted
by visiting the Public Security Bureau of the town that you will be living and studying in. You will
need to be able to prove your enrollment in a school and the length of the course when trying to
apply for a type X visa.
The type C visa is also known as a crew visa. This unique type of China visa is only given to flight
crews. These individuals often enter China and leave on the same exact day for work related
purposes. Sometimes an overnight stay will be allowed but anyone who posses a type C visa will now
be allowed to stay for an extended period of time in China.
A J1/J2 visa is a China visa which is issued to new media. New agencies and journalists will often be
issues a J1/J2 visa whenever they with to cover news events in China. The length of time that the visa
remains valid will be set at the time that the visa is issued. This type of visa will usually become void
after a few months.
