The series is set in DarkClaymore’s head, where sanity and reason are ever in danger of being
oppressed by the evil looming in the shadows. With his natural drive toward complex and counter-
intuitive ideas, DarkClaymore’s brain is structured to be a land of insanity featuring multiple entity
types, locations and further uncategorized nonsense.
For those who wish to make sense out of the series’ plot and environment, diving into this section
would sooner than later become a requirement.

3. The types of entities that dwell in DarkClaymore’s brain.
Resident – An entity with an extreme feature which directly affects DarkClaymore's personality. With each of them
being polarized, only a balanced cast of Residents in one's head can secure sanity.
Special Resident – A Resident surrounded by unique circumstances which stray from the norm. The most notable
example is Izaya, who is DarkClaymore's Favorite Male Anime Character – a Resident formed based on the Host's likes
and dislikes. Izaya was created through an inverted law of Cause & Effect compared to other Residents, for his
existence is based on the Host's personality and isn't, necessarily, born to alter it.
Remnant – A temporary entity created in the Vortex of History, based on the host's recent memories and
experiences. They keep on existing as long as their existence is carved in the host's head. Shortly afterwards – they are
erased.
Agent – A Remnant who forged a pact with the Core and became the Core's servant, in exchange for being granted
existence energy and exist longer.
Dream Eater – A dangerous and widely unknown type of inhibitors who roam the Dream World. All that is currently
known about them, is their task to eradicate any outsider who makes his way to the Dream World. Their existence is
the reason why DarkClaymore rarely remembers his dreams.

4. The various areas occupying space in DarkClaymore’s head.
Plane of Actuality – The plane on which Residents who affect the Host's personality exist. Remnants occasionally
also reach this plane after leaving the Vortex of History, where they initially are created.
Bar – A hanging out place for Residents in DarkClaymore's head. Often used as a special mechanic in Mafia
games inside DarkClaymore's head.
Vortex of History – A chaotic dimension in which the Host's memories and experiences, Remnants, are manifested
for a short lived duration of time. At times, due to its chaotic and unstable nature, certain Remnants can escape it into
the Plane of Actuality.
Island of Dreams – A hidden dimension hovering above the Vortex of History, often unreachable under normal
circumstances. Just as the Vortex of History, it’s a chaotic ever-changing plane which reproduces the Host’s
experiences, but it focuses specifically on the Host’s dreams. In DarkClaymore’s case, there’s a tight security in
this area and dangerous entities known as Dream Eaters roam around and devour weaker forms of existence.
Due to its isolation, this realm remains mostly unexplored and eldritch at present.
Death Realm – The concept of dead is seeded deep enough for it to be applied to the Residents of a human Host's
head. Residents who are killed - will first be sent to the Death Realm. There, they will slowly be erased from existence.
The procedure is created to soften the impact on the Host's personality, and let it slowly adapt to the changes as the
dead Remnant's influence fades slowly. At the top of this realm’s food chain stands the Grim Reaper,
