Ian Gallagher is the main character of the TV show Shameless. He was 15 years old when the show began in 2004 and comes from a large, dysfunctional family led by absent parents Monica and Frank Gallagher. As the series progressed, Ian came out as gay and had many brief relationships and flings, with his only long-term boyfriend being Kash. Ian experienced difficulties including suffering from amnesia and murdering a character who was abusing his friend.
