3. Gantt Chart
Gantt charts are used as a schedule to keep you up to date with
all the tasks you have to complete.
4. Script
Scripts are used to inform all parties of the
narrative. Also key for actors to learn the lines
and ques.
5. Risk Assessment
To assess all risks involved within the location. This includes any
equipment, costumes, props and actors.
6. Location Recce
• Location recce’s are used to establish the reality of
filming and to work out the finer details of how it
could work.
7. Call Sheet
Call sheets are used
for all parties involved
in the film making
process so everyone
can get hold of one
another. Here is an
example of a Call
sheet.
8. Budget
A budget is used to put a limit on the costs of a film. For example is a budget
of a film cost more than the turn over, no profit is made from that film and
there for the production company loses out. We have a minimal budget and
our aim is to spend at little as possible.
9. Release Agreement
A release agreement is used
between the production team
and the Actors. It is to settle
the terms of which are
allowed whilst in the process
of filming to give a detailed
overview of what the
director wants from the
actors and when they want
them.
10. Shooting Script
• A chart of
everything that
needs to be
accomplished
during filming. It
helps to organise
everyone involved.
11. Location Release
• An agreement form
between the filming
team and the land owner
to settle terms.
12. Footage Log
• Similar to the shot list
except a footage log is
written in the order
of filming as apposed
to the order of the
final product.
13. Asset Log
• A list of all personal assets (mainly
equipment) that you will be taking on set in
order to keep track of anything I case of theft
or damage. e.g: cameras, lights, rigs,
microphones.
14. Shot List
A list of all the shots needed so that the director
knows exactly what needs to be filmed.
15. Overhead Diagram
A birds eye view sketch of the location to give the
production team an idea of where all the props,
lighting and cameras need to be positioned to avoid
confusion.
