3. Workshop « Solar System»
Objectifs :
- Découverte du système solaire.
- Connaître la différence entre une planète et
une étoile.
- Savoir distinguer entre les planètes telluriques
et les planétes gazeuses.
- Situer la terre dans notre système solaire.
- Montrer le mouvement de la terre et des autres
planétes autour du soleil.
- Reconnaître les différentes planètes du
système solaire et les nommer en arabe et en
français.
- Être capable de les classer en fonction de leur
type, taille et distance par rapport au soleil.
- Aborder les notions de distance en km et en
Unité Astronomique (UA).
- Avoir une idée sur la dimension de notre soleil
par rappot à d’autres ètoiles .

Matériel : ciseaux, colle, papier grand format
A3 ou autre, crayon de couleur jaune, crayon et
papier pour écrire.

4. Workshop Scenario
Part 1: Presentation of the solar system (ppt)
Part 2: Students cut and stick the photos of the sun and planets
in order, draw a sample comet, the asteroid belt and the kuiper
belt. Write the name of all of these in arabic and in French
Part 3: Presentation of the size and scale in the solar system +
comparison of the size of the sun to other stars (ppt)
Part 4: Q/A
Part 5: Project and future reading.
Assessment: 10 different astronomy clubs and associations participated in this campaign
We’ve been able to reach out to more than 2500 pupils
