  • 1. He met her at a party...
  • 2. She was so beautiful that many guyswere chasing after her...
while he was so ordinary, nobody paid any attention to him.
  • 3. At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffeewith him.
    she was surprised, but,
    being polite, she accepted.
  • 4. They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say any thing;
she felt uncomfortable, she thought : please... let me go home....
  • 5. Suddenly he
asked the waiter, "would you please give me some salt?I'd like to put  it in my coffee."
  • 6. Everybody stared at him, thinking “how strange”!
    His face turned red,
but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it.
  • 7. She asked
    him
    curiously,
“ why do you have this
    habit”?
  • 8. He replied:
"when I was a little boy, I was living near the sea,
  • 9. I loved playing in the sea, I can still feel the taste of the sea on my tongue, just like the taste of the salty coffee.
  • 10. Now, every time I have salty coffee, I always think of my childhood,
  • 11. ...and my hometown, I miss my it so much , its almost a physical pain.
  • 12. I miss my parents who are still living there". While saying that tears filled his eyes.
Seeing this, she was deeply touched.
  • 13. That's his true feelings, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can share his homesickness,
  • 14. He must be a man who loves home, cares about home, hasthe responsibility to take
    care of the home.
  • 15.  Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family.
  • 16. That was a
    really nice talk,
    a beautiful beginning to
    their story.
  • 17.  They started to date.
    She found that actually he was a man who met all her demands;
  • 18. he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm & caring.
  • 19. He was such
a good person & companion that she actually started to miss him When they
    Were apart!
    ...thanks to
    his salty coffee!
  • 20. Then their story was just like every beautiful love story , the princess married the prince,
and they lived a happy life...
  • 21. And, every time she made coffee for him,she put some salt in the coffee , as she knew that's the way he
    liked it.
  • 22. After 40 years,
    he passed away,
left her a letter which said:
    "My dearest, please forgive me,
forgive me for telling you a lie our
    whole life...but
    this was the only
    lie I told you---
    The salty coffee...
  • 23. Remember the first time we dated?
I was so nervous thatwhen I actually wanted some sugar, I said salt.
I didn’t know how to take back what I had said, so I just went ahead.
I never thought that could be the beginning of our love!
  • 24. I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life,
but I was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything...                  Now I'm dying,
    I’m afraid of nothing...so
    I tell you the truth:
  • 25.  I don't like salty coffee!
    what a strange ,
    bad taste...
    But I have had the
    salty coffeemy whole life!
    Since I knew you,
I never felt sorry for anything I had
    done for you.
  • 26.  " Having you with me has been the biggest happiness in
    My whole life.
If I can live my life over again,
I would still want to know you and have you for my wife, even though I have to drink the
    salty coffee
    again!".
  • 27. Her tears made the letter totally wet. One day, someone asked her: what's the taste of salty coffee? “It's sweet”. She replied.
  • 28. Love is
    not 2 forget
    but
    2 forgive,
    not 2 c
    but 2understand,
    not 2 hear
    but 2 listen,
    not 2 let go
    But 2 HOLD ON !!!!
  • 29. Don't ever leave the one you love for the one you like,
because the one you like will leave you for the onethey love ...
