  2. 2. The Event <ul><li>Location: Tempe Beach Park </li></ul><ul><li>80 E. Rio Salado Parkway </li></ul><ul><li>8th annual Healing </li></ul><ul><li>Field tribute for the </li></ul><ul><li>10 th year anniversary </li></ul><ul><li>of 9/11 </li></ul>
  3. 3. Schedule <ul><li>5:56 a.m. Sunday- a brief ceremony will include a reading of the names of first responders who perished. Later in the morning and into the afternoon the names of all 9/11 victims will be read </li></ul><ul><li>6 p.m. Saturday night - Concert by local bands and children’s choirs </li></ul><ul><li>Candlelight vigil starts at 7 p.m. Sunday </li></ul><ul><li>Blood drive runs 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. </li></ul>
  4. 4. The Flags <ul><li>Nearly 3,00 flags will be set up, one for each person who died on 9/11 </li></ul><ul><li>The 3′X5′ flags will stand 8′ tall in perfect rows </li></ul><ul><li>“ We grid the field in 5-foot squares so you can touch two lives (through flags) at a time.” </li></ul>

  6. 6. Yellow ribbons along the outside rows on flags represented the first responders on 9/11 New this year  35 sky-blue ribbons on the flags to honor members of the air crews who died in the three planes hijacked by terrorists on Sept. 11
