Ivermectin is a medication used to treat
many types of parasite infestations. This
includes head lice, scabies, river blindness
(onchocerciasis), strongyloidiasis,
trichuriasis, ascariasis, and lymphatic
filariasis. It can be taken by mouth or applied
to the skin for external infestations.
