Kyanite
Andalusite
Sillimanite
• Andalusite is a common regional
metamorphic mineral which forms
under low pressure and low to high
temperatures.
• The minerals kyanite and sillimanite
are polymorphs of andalusite, each
occurring under different
temperature-pressure regimes and
are therefore rarely found together
in the same rock.
• All three polymorphs can be used as
index minerals in metamorphic
rocks.
• They all develop in alumina-rich
pelites under different conditions of
temperature and pressure.
• Andalusite form al low pressures
(<1.5 Kb) and low moderate
temperature in thermal aureoles and
regional metamorphism of Buchan
type (high T and low P). At higher
temperature its invert in sillimanite.

MINING & MARKETING
Market Scenario
Calcium Aluminosilicate Market is primarily driven by
high use of Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical, Veterinary,
Food, Manufacturing Industry drives the growth of the
international market.
As a food additive, it has been assigned the code
‘E556’as it is employed as an anticaking agent in the
manufacturing of chewing gum, and milk & cream
powder analogues and plain
Sodium Aluminosilicate market driven by Food Industry,
Chemical Industry, Paint Industry, Glass Industry
In the global food additives market, the demand for sodium
aluminosilicate is on the rising due to anticaking property. As
an anticaking agent, sodium aluminosilicates prevent the
formation of solid or semi-solid lumps while mixing dry
foods. In addition, it also prevents dry food from clumping.
sodium aluminosilicate market is also flourishing in chemical,
paint and various other industries due to their attributed
application.
