  • 2. Geography of New Zealand
    The area of New Zealand is 268,680 square
    kilometers. In New Zealand, there are main two
    islands of North island and South island and a
    lot of small islands.
  • 3. However, the volcanic activity is active. The highest
    peak in North island is Mount Ruapehu of 2,797
    m. South island is the big island of the land area. In
    the central city, there is Christchurch.
  • 4. Earthquake in New Zealand
    Earthquake happened in New Zealand. An earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale jolted the Kermadec Islands region of New Zealand at 1903 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
  • 5. New Zealand‘s Civil Defense has issued a tsunami warning for New Zealand’s Northland, Bay of Plenty, East Coast and Hawkes Bay.
