  • 1. Going Green By Michael Steinberg and Josh Rubin
  • 2. Recycle
    • High Schools throughout the U.S. should recycle every April. They should recycle things such as bottles, cans, newspapers, and other recyclable items.
  • 3. Reduce
    • By recycling items, it will help out the environment and keep our neighborhood clean. “ Waste prevention, also know as "source reduction," is the practice of designing, manufacturing, purchasing, or using materials (such as products and packaging) in ways that reduce the amount or toxicity of trash created”
  • 4. Reduce Continued
    • S ource reduction, including reuse, can help reduce waste disposal and handling costs, because it avoids the costs of recycling, municipal composting, land filling, and combustion. Source reduction also conserves resources and reduces pollution, including greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming.
  • 5. Reuse
    • Reusing items is another way to stop waste at the source because it delays or avoids items that enter into the waste collection and disposal system.
  • 6. Professional Athletes Care
    • Professional Athletes care about the environment also. Every April Professional Athletes go to parks across the country to clean them.
