This document provides directions for a student presentation on the cycles of nature. Students are to choose from several presentation programs and create a presentation explaining the water, carbon, and nitrogen cycles. The presentation should include terms associated with each cycle and use words and pictures from provided websites. Students are also asked to find a real-life example of each cycle in their community, take a photo, and include it in their presentation. The completed presentation should be uploaded to the class Edmodo account.
1. Cycles of Nature Presentations
Purpose: To create a visual presentation that can be used to reinforce the principles of the
cycles of nature (water, carbon, nitrogen).
Available programs:Prezi, GoAnimate, PowerPoint, Educreation, ToonDoo, GlogsterPowToon,
ThinkBuzan, PhotoPeach (tutorials for these programs-Atomic Learning/username: student ID#
/password: student2012). Email required
Directions: Choose one of the presentation programs above. Research the cycles of nature
(water, carbon, and nitrogen) with the websites below and create a presentation that explains
each cycle with words and pictures. Be sure to include the following terms with their
corresponding cycle:
Water Cycle-evaporation, condensation, precipitation
Carbon Cycle-photosynthesis, respiration, combustion, decomposition
Nitrogen Cycle-nitrogen fixation
