This document proposes two projects for a travel map website on AIF.ru. Project 1 involves creating pages for different travel destinations with information on sights, transport, food and activities. It would feature a world map for navigation and long-form articles with multimedia. Project 2 places travel-themed stories into categories like food and culture. It was previously tested successfully on AIF.ru. Both projects aim to provide tourists information and build the company's image through promotional banners and wallpapers.
2. Project’s Aims
Packing the bags is not the only one thing the traveler has to do before going on the journey. Gathering the
necessary information about the destination is another important thing. Where to go sightseeing? What is the
public transport system? What dishes are worth tasting? These and many other questions will be answered
within our special project Travel Map.
The main aims:
•To create a thematic web area for tourists
•To develop a set of tools for communication with the target audience

5. Project 1. Mechanics
All the content is gathered within the project that has its own short URL and unique design.
On the top of each page there’s a world map where all the necessary destinations are marked by dots. By
clicking each dot the user can see the text about that destination.
Each text is a longread with many multimedia components – photos, videos, coubs, infographics, etc.
For the content promotion we suggest to use banners and wallpapers on the pages of AIF.ru.
6. Project 1. Content
Every longread about each destination will touch upon the following topics:
•What sights worth seeing
•What is the public transport system
•What dishes are worth tasting
•How else can a traveler entertain himself
We suggest to choose a longread format for the text to let users see all the necessary information about the
destination on the same page. If the user want to skip any part of the text he can simply navigate through it
using thematic icons (transport, food, sights, etc.)
7. Special Projects on AIF.ru. Our Experience
On the 1st of August, 2014 AIF.ru launched the
very first author’s project with unique design
and navigation – ‘100 years to WW1’.
The main navigation tool was the timeline with
key dates for WW1. It was situated on the top
of each page of the project. Within a click on
each date the map changes: including
countries borders and places of main battles of
the period. A user can read more about those
countries and battles in the pop-up window.
In the period of two months the pages of the
project were seen more than 96 thousands
times.
The second special project was ‘Beslan’s Hell’ –
a project which tells us about the events that
took place in one of the schools of Beslan on
the 1st of September, 2004.
Longread format has been chosen for this
project. It also has lots of multimedia content
inside – photos and videos.
In the period of one month the project was
viewed more than 93 thousands times.
8. Project 2. Mechanics
As an alternative to the Project 1 we suggest a themed story on the pages of AIF.ru. The materials will be
places into theme rubrics, such as Food, Society, etc. Each of these theme stories will be dedicated to some
destination.
Media part of the project will consist of:
•Promotional banners
•Wallpapers (all the materials of theme story will be branded with the wallpapers and other rubrics will get the
wallpapers in dynamics
The project ‘To Italy for the taste!’ realized on AIF.ru using the mentioned mechanics has gathered more than
33 thousands of views.
9. Project 2. Content
The materials of the theme story will be done in different
formats: Q&A. articels, infographics.
Possible topics:
•Three unique types of transport
•Five national dishes that are worth tasting
•10 myths about Spain
•Etc.
10. Summary
The project realized on AIF.ru will allow you:
To gather the target audience within the framework of the project
To get a set of tools for efficient communication with the target audience
To create a positive image of the company
