2. 2k Wheel
The Wheel is designed base on my studio project in which creating a moveable furniture for
kids in the learning centre. It is inspired by the dynamic of movement where it creates
different perception when it turns and encourage learning within the children.
The concept of the wheel are derived from a hamster roller coaster where the product rely
on a person or two to work. The idea of rolling is to allow the children to roll the wheel within
the building without having to lift them up.
The scale of the wheel is to allowed a primary school children to be able to walk in the wheel
while providing a fairly good size of space for an adult to lay comfortably.

6. The Product Making
The Wheel Furniture consists of one main
ring and two secondary rings on both sides.
Corrugated card board sheets are chosen for
the product due to its lightweight as
compared to wood.
The process of making the product are
mainly uses the idea of overlapping and
stacking to create a stronger bond.
Due to size limits of the card board, the
circle is broken down into 8 pieces in order
to fit the size of laser cutter while reducing
the waste produced.

16. The Dynamic
Cotton waxed cord is used to wrap around
the model to create the dynamic movement
effect and giving a soft finish touch to the
product.
It uses 2 kilometres of string in order to
complete the full circle.

18. The Initial Issue:
As due the angle of the string being tied, it
faces the issue of the string falling apart
when it rolls and creating the gaps in
between the string.
To solve it, the string are then tied in a better
angle degree and using the idea of
overlapping and eliminating gaps in between
the cord.
