Contest Rules and Guidelines
The following are the rules and guidelines for the 2009 PE Central T-shirt slogan
contest.
To Enter: Visit the following Web site to submit your slogan.

We DO NOT accept entries that are emailed, mailed or phoned into PE Central.
They must be submitted online. Any other entries will not be considered as
contest entries. Any entries containing inappropriate language or content will be
deleted and not considered.
Text only entries are all that is needed for successful entry into the contest.
Submitters do NOT need to provide a design or a logo to accompany their slogan
submission.
Inaccurate Contact Information: If the chosen winner provides an incorrect
email or phone number we will choose another winner so it is very important that
you accurately complete the submission form.
Cost to Enter: None and no purchase of any kind are necessary.
Who can Submit a Slogan: Any individual and/or group from any country. If it is
a group submission the person who completes the submission form will be the
one who we contact and he/she will receive the prizes if chosen as the winner.
Members of the advisory and editorial teams of PE Central are eligible to submit
slogans. Judges are NOT eligible.
Number of Entries: Unlimited
Criteria: All submitted entries must be original slogans that have not been
published previously. Entries deemed to be copyright infringements or that have
been used before will not be considered.
Entries will be judged on:
• Creativity
• Originality
• Positive Message
• Uniqueness
• Clearness of understanding
• How well it relates to Physical Activity/PE

2. Deadline for Submissions: 5:00 PM EST, Tuesday, December 15, 2009
Judging: Judging will be conducted by members of the PE Central Staff and
Editorial Board.
Prizes: Prizes will be distributed to the winner on or around January 15, 2010.
Their name and school affiliation will be announced on the PE Central Web site.
The winners name and contact information of the winner will be distributed to the
companies who are providing the prizes.
The winners T-shirt will be designed and will be made available for purchase in
the PE Central Store. All profits from the sale of the shirt will be solely PE
Central. No profits or royalties will be awarded to the winner.
Copyright: PE Technologies (parent company of PE Central) will own the
copyright to the winning slogan.
The Fine Print:
1) By participating, entrants agree to the 2009 PE Central Slogan Contest
Guidelines.
2) PE Central acquires the rights to use all submitted videos for promotional
purposes, including, but not limited to, such mediums as the Internet, printed or
electronic marketing materials, and shirts for sale. NO royalties will be paid to
the slogan creators on proceeds of shirt sales. The winning entrant will be asked
to sign a waiver regarding these terms.
3) Void outside of the United States and its territories and where prohibited,
taxed, or restricted by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations
apply.
4) Entrants may submit as many slogans as they choose, but prizes will be
limited to one per person.
5) Winners failing to respond in a timely fashion to notification of having won will
forfeit their prize. In such a case, the judges will select alternate winner(s)
according to the aforementioned judging criteria.
6) Entrants acknowledge that their slogan submissions are their own original
work; their slogans do not and will not violate or infringe upon the intellectual
property rights or other rights of any other person or entity; and slogans do not
and will not violate any applicable laws, nor are they defamatory or libelous.

3. 7) Entrants agree to indemnify and hold PE Technologies (parent company of PE
Central), their successors, assigns, and licensees, harmless from and against
any and all third party claims, actions, or proceedings of any kind and from any
and all damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses relating to or arising out of any
breach or alleged breach of any of the warranties, representations, or
agreements of entrants hereunder.
8) By participating in this contest, winners irrevocably grant PE Technologies,
their successors, assigns, and licensees, the right to use such winner’s name,
likeness, biographical information, and video in any and all media for any
purpose, including without limitation, advertising and/or promotional purposes as
well as in, on or, in connection with PE Central’s Web site or other promotions,
throughout the universe, in perpetuity, by means of any and all media and
devices whether now known or hereafter devised and hereby release PE Central
and its parent organization, PE Technologies, from any liability with respect
thereto.
9) Entrants forfeit all rights to receive any royalties from the sale of all
promotional materials created by PE Central in which the entrants’ works appear.
