This presentation introduces Nano Filtration Technologies' new winged fiber media called LEAF, which stands for Low Energy Air Filtration. The winged fiber media was developed by Nano Filtration Technologies and research partners to provide 65% less pressure resistance and 50% greater dust holding capacity compared to traditional HEPA media. Initial testing shows the winged fiber media achieves MERV 17 filtration efficiency with significantly lower initial pressure drops. A beta site test at a county facility in Virginia also demonstrated that replacing standard HEPA filters with filters made of the winged fiber media resulted in estimated annual energy savings of $28,072.
