1. CMAT 2013 conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is going to be held from 21st
February to 25th February 2013. The admit card for the exam is now available on the AICTE website. The
candidates can download their admit cards by logging into their website.
Common Management Admission Test or CMAT is conducted for admission to the MBA or PGDM
courses in all the AICTE approved B-schools in India. The exam was introduced last year and the first
exam was held in the month of September last year. Many states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra,
Kerala, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Nagaland, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Haryana and
Karnataka have scrapped their own MBA entrance exams and accepted CMAT as their official test for
admission to the state affiliated universities.
Like most other management entrance exams CMAT too is a multiple choice objective type test. It is a
computer based test of three hours duration. The paper is divided into four sections having 25 questions
on each. The sections are:
Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
Logical Reasoning
Language Comprehension
General Awareness
There is negative marking as for each wrong answer 1 mark is deducted. The test will be conducted
twice a year.
The CMAT February 2013 will be conducted in two slots, one starting from 9.30 am and the next from
2.30 pm. Each candidate will be seated in a computer terminal and will be provided with a scratch
paper.
The candidates are expected to arrive at the test centre by 8 am for the morning slot and by 1 pm for
the afternoon slot. The things that candidates must carry with them are as follows:
Attested copy of CMAT 2013-14 (Second Test) Admit Card with recent passport size photo
pasted on it.
At least one original (not photocopied / scanned copy) and valid (not expired) photo
identification.
SC/ST candidates are required to bring the valid caste certificate in original and an attested
photocopy.
Physically Disabled candidates are required to bring the valid Disability certificate in original and
an attested photocopy.
The result is expected to be declared on 13th March 2013.
