3 Focus Group Facilitation **NEW
Product or service or business concepts and proposals need validation with reference to
what the stakeholders actually think and prefer. This has to be ascertained through
systematic elicitation from the stakeholders and facilitation of Focus Group Meetings. This
service includes preparatory work, facilitation of meetings and analysis.
4 Professional BA, RE, Solution & SW Design Services + Research Services
Professional work is carried out on or off site and artifacts are delivered for these phases of
software development. Specific research work is carried out in specified fields as a part of
this service.
These services are based on Methodologies and Tools emerging from decades of research and validation. They
make the most of and go beyond the existing standards of ISO 9000, UML, BPMN, IIBA BOK, SWEBOK and best
practices in some respects. Some modifications / enhancements are radical -–check them out and take advantage

1 Coaching, Training, & Mentoring
I WORK and teach WORK in the fields of Business Analysis (BA), Requirements Engineering (RE)
and Solution & Software Design.
I enable learners to build knowledge and professional competence in Business Analysis, Requirements
Engineering and Software Development using corrected and enhanced UML, BPMN, Nimbus UPN and other
relevant standards and publications. Radical BA&RE Entry Level Syllabus: This is a minimal but in-depth set of NINE
self-sufficient modules of knowledge and skills to make a beginner an effective professional on the first job. See

Training Options:
Full course: All Nine Modules in about 15 Sessions --- NOW this is discouraged.
Single Module Course: Short, focused training on a selected topic in Four to Six Sessions.
Quizzes + Mini-project reviews & guidance are provided in both the courses
What Learners Do:
Learners study and discuss Principles & Examples; work on Exercises & Case Studies (I use incorrect and
corrected documentation of actual projects done); Answer Quizzes (and review them with reasons); work on
Mini Projects as teams (Role Play within Team Projects---Review of other's Projects); Create and submit self-
reviewed Mini Project Artifacts; use professional review inputs; Compile all such artifacts into Business /
Project Reports. Learning Resources Fairly elaborate and updated PPTs, Word Documents, ISO / IEEE / IIBA /
IREB / BCS / BPMN / Nimbus UPN Standards / Publications (some annotated), Templates and Checklists,
Quizzes, Case Studies; I upgrade them in consultation with professional project leaders and managers (direct
& via LinkedIn). Nothing is accepted as ultimate and perfect. Reasoning and validation are given higher place
in professional work. My students and I have questioned and improved many definitions and practices. My
students apply the same to my own proposals and improve them. ISO 9000 Definition of “system” was
improved by my student.
Learning Modes & Processes:
There are two modes.
1: Learning and Doing: This is a traditional mode. All the academic and professional inputs necessary are
provided through interactive lectures / discussions using WebEx and Skype (prof.pvn). Annotated
publications and artifacts submitted earlier are sent through e-mail. Quiz Responses and Project Documents
are reviewed and shared with co-learners.
2: Doing and Learning: Some students / professionals prefer directly working on problems / projects and
learning from that experience. This is demanding but more effective than 1
Processes
The educational material is given BUT NOT TAUGHT. Students learn by themselves and start working on
problems and projects. The sessions are devoted to discussion, review and correction of the documents /
artifacts. Students take their time to work on problems and decide on when to have discussion. This means
more work for me …I like it. This is now a validated by many MOOC programs and Khan Academy.

Tools:
I use comprehensive, high-precision tools to rapidly generate ready-to-use artifacts. I also conduct reviews of
documents and artifacts and give my professional assessment + suggestions for improvement. I take part in
planning, review and evaluation sessions via WebEx / Skype or on-site meetings. Conceptual clarity, utility, and
speed characterize my technology-independent methods and tools. The copyrighted methodology and tool are
available for a fee.
