The 93rd regular season of the NFL began last month, and one of the highlights of this season is the Redskins Rule, a a trend, albeit superstitious in nature, involving NFL and the Usa Presidential Elections.
1. RG3: A New Hope
For Redskins Fans

2. When Daniel Snyder, owner of Washington Redskins, talks of patience, he must refer to their current
star quarterback Robert Griffin III. Robert Griffin represents the Redskins’ potential for greatness which
we expected to manifest in a few years’ time. But Robert Griffin wowed us with his first few games in the
pros as he makes the jobs of his offensive line easier through his speed. The no. 2 pick in the 2012 NFL
Draft did not disappoint in early part of his debut season. He was the first rookie quarterback to be named
NFC's Offensive Player of the Week for a stellar performance in his debut game against the New Orleans
Saints. He was also named NFL the rookie of the week twice in the first four games of the season.
After a mild concussion in the loss against the Atlanta
Falcons, many fans were left anxious on the status of
the star quarterback. I’m sure there were sighs of relief
among ‘Skins fans as Coach Shanahan announced that
it was only a mild concussion. This event showed
‘Skins fans just how fragile this new hope is. It is not
just a one man game and RG3 must be well protected.
Because he is the quarterback and partly because of
his early success, Griffin III has a target in his back
and he needs his speed and the help of his team to
remain healthy as the hopes of Washington fans rest
upon his shoulders.
Griffin III wowed us again with the display of speed in his return on the ‘Skin’s 26-38 win versus the
Minnesota Vikings. He ran a total 138 yards including a 76 yard dash along the sideline for a touchdown
with less than three minutes to play. This win gave the Washington Redskins a one win advantage over
their NFC East rivals; the Dallas Cowboys.

3. Griffin III is the type of player that the well experienced Dan Snyder with Coach Mike Shanahan can
build on to create a championship caliber team. The acquisition of Griffin III is surely thanks to both
Daniel Snyder and Coach Shanahan. RGIII is truly a player worth all the Washington Redskins fans’
patience as he matures as a professional player and as he develops chemistry with the team and the
offensive style of Coach Shanahan.
With the aspiration of getting into this year’s playoffs very much alive with a healthy Griffin III back in
the field, Washington fans have a lot to look forward to. They will be playing two away games in against
New York and Pittsburg in the next two weeks and a home game against Carolina after that.
