Today before you say a word that hurts someone,
think of someone who cannot speak to get things done.
今天，在你还未说出一句伤害他人的话之前
想想无法说话的人，把事情做好。

Before you complain about
your rice, veg or meat,
think of someone
who has nothing at all to eat.
当你要埋怨你的饭，蔬菜或肉类之前？
想想那些没有食物吃的人。
I don’t like this
lousy food!

Before you complain about
your husband or wife,
think of someone who’s so very lonely in life.
当你要埋怨你的丈夫或妻子之前，想想那些过
着孤独生活的人。

Before you complain impatiently
about your children,
think of people who desire children but are barren.
在你不耐烦地抱怨你的孩子之前，
想想有些人想要孩子，但都是一无所获的。

Before you complain
about the house you live in,
think of the homeless ones
who keep on wandering.
当你要埋怨你住的房子之前，
想想那些无家可归，到处流浪的人。

Before complaining
about the distance you
have to drive,
think of someone
walking that distance in
his or her life.
在抱怨你要开车到一个
很远的地方之前？想一
想那些人毕生中步行过
的路程。

And when you are tired and complain
a lot about your job,
think of the disabled and
the jobless who foolishly rob.
当你累了，不断抱怨你的工作，
想一想残疾和失业的人。

Today before you complain about living,
think of someone who’s pitifully dying.
今天，在你抱怨生活之前，
想想那些可怜地死去的人。

Before you think of pointing the finger at another,
reflect carefully , ‘Who in this world is not a Sinner?’
在你想要用手指指着另一个人之前，好好反省，
“谁在这个世界上不是一个罪人？”

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down,
put on a smile, be thankful you’re still around.
当压抑的念头让你失望？
微微一笑，感谢上帝，您还在身边。
