   -   SWOT: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats


   -   Sandwich: something good, something that needs work, something good


   -   Visual – mapping of competences, fill in the squares


   -   Self and peer assessment


          o What I did well on…
          o What I can improve on…
          o What I will do differently next time…




Parent-Teacher conference techniques:
   -   Ask the students what they would like you to say
   -   Invite the students to prepare a portfolio and come along
-   Start by asking “What can I tell you?”
   -   If you listen to parents they will tell you what you need to know about
       teaching their child
   -   Facilitate a discussion between the student and parent
   -   Write notes afterwards
These are a great opporuntity to learn about the student, get the parents on side
and make sure that everyone is on the same page.
