Connecting rod is a major link inside of a internal combustion engine. It is the intermediate member between the piston and the crankshaft. Its primary function is to transmit the push and pull from the piston pin to the crank pin thus converting the reciprocating motion of piston in to rotary motion of the crank. In this paper a static analysis is conducted on a connecting rod of a single cylinder 4-stroke petrol engine. The model is developed using Solid modeling software i.e. PRO/E (creo-parametric). Further finite element analysis is done to determine the von-misses stresses shear stress and strains for the given loading conditions.

Present paper reviews the general study on configuration of helical springs. Fundamental of stress distribution and characteristics of helical coil spring has been reviewed. Discussion on parameters influencing the helical spring quality has also been explained. From the study it has been found that weight of the automobile helical spring should be reduced. So the springs are to be designed for higher stress and small dimensions. Finite element modelling brings improvement to the suspension spring analysis. A lot of study has been conducted on the Finite element analysis using ANSYS

Connecting rod is very important part of engine. It should be accurately machined with the acceptable tolerance. Also the fluctuations of dimensions in work-piece to work piece should be minimum so that it will be easier to assemble in engine. But it has been observed that the required dimensions for the bolt diameter and smaller end diameter for the connecting rod are not continuously achievable by using the existing fixture. The diameters required of the bolts and the smaller end of the said connecting rod are 10±0.05 mm and 24±0.01 mm respectively The aim of this project is to design and development of a new fixture for machining (Boring) operation using designing software's i.e. Pro E and analysis using ANSYS ,which can eliminate the said problems. And the production rate will also increase up to 15% which is quite objective. So for that, a new hydraulic fixture is designed and observed that dimensional accuracy, increased production rate up to 15% and more output per day with boring operation. Which defines process is satisfactory enough and validates the project.

Suspension system for a vehicle is an integration of various machine components designed and assembled in such a manner to absorb all the shocks and vibrations. The objectives of suspension are mentioned in detail. The aim of the work is to analyze various parameters like stresses, stiffness, material etc., of single degrees of freedom, vibrational absorption system of an Automobile. The vibrational absorption system of an Automobile is taken with that experimental analysis was done and various parameters are collected. From the different values are taken and the results are manipulated. Then similar work like this has to be done in Ansys with the given boundary conditions and the results are obtained and compared. Further alterations in the vibration absorption system are made to improve its life cycles.
