Top News :
• Sakthi Sugars Mgt Guideline : The sugar production may fall this year given that farmers are not getting paid well and are diverting the
sugarcane to gur . The season is likely to end sooner due to hot conditions and so, company may produce south of 23 million tonne .
• Cipla Mgt Guideline : Company is likely to grow its exports from the current 55 percent to 70 percent. The company is also targeting a growth
of USD 3-4 billion by 2020. The pharma major may open units in foreign countries just like its peers.
• Opto Circuits (India) Ltd has informed that Cardiac Science Corporation, a group company of Opto Circuits (India) Ltd. and a global leader in
automated external defibrillators (AEDs) announced on February 20, 2014 that its Powerheart® G5 AED has received 510market clearance from
the U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration), allowing the Company to begin selling the AED later this year along with its successful Powerheart®
G3 product line.
• Sadbhav Engineering Ltd has informed that Company has been awarded the following project/work by Shapar Veraval Industrial Association,
Veraval, Dist. Rajkot (GUJ) for negotiated amount of Rs.60.15 crores. Construction works of continuously reinforced cement concrete road with CD
works including free maintenance guarantee period of 5 years on EPC Turn-key basis at Shaper Veraval Industrial Estate, Dist.: Rajkot under the
scheme of Critical Infrastructure Project of GoG .
• The High Court recorded the consent order in terms of tripartite settlement arrived at among NHAI, Delhi-Gurgaon Super Connectivity Ltd
(DGSCL) and lead financier IDFC .
• CCL Products Mgt: Company’s topline is expected to be around Rs 700 crore with a profit of Rs 70 crore for FY14E. (For Q4FY14E, sales growth
could be seen at 13-15%, and PAT growth at 110-120%on YoY basis.)
• Cipla will market multinational company MSD’s HIV drug raltegravir (400mg) tablet in India. Announcing this India-specific, non-exclusive
partnership , the two companies said Cipla would market the drug under a different brand name. Access to raltegravir is important for patients
who require it as part of third-line salvage regimen where there are few options left .
• SBI will invest Rs 150 crore to establish a facility in the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) at Gandhinagar.
• The market research group Markit said that its preliminary manufacturing purchasing managers’ index inched down to a seasonally adjusted
53.0 this month from a final reading of 54.0 in January. Analysts had expected the index to hold steady at 54.0 this month.
• German manufacturing purchasing managers’ index fell to a seasonally adjusted 54.7 in February from a final reading of 56.5 in January.
Analysts had expected the index to inch down to 56.3 this month.
• The China flash Markit/HSBC Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) fell to a seven-month low of 48.3 in February from January's final reading of
49.5, where a reading below 50 indicates a contraction while one above shows expansion.
