2. Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in
your own home. Give love to your children, to
your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor .
. . Let no one ever come to you without leaving
better and happier. Be the living expression of
God’s kindness; kindness in your face, kindness
in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in
your warm greeting.
-Mother Teresa.
3. The success of love is in the loving – it
is not in the result of loving. Of course
it is natural in love to want the best for
the other person, but whether it turns
out that way or not does not determine
the value of what we have done.
-Mother Teresa
4. At the end of life we will not be judged
by how many diplomas we have
received, how much money we have
made, how many great things we have
done.
We will be judged by “I was hungry,
and you gave me something to eat, I
was naked and you clothed me. I was
homeless, and you took me in.
-Mother Teresa
5. A sacrifice to be real must cost, must
hurt, and must empty ourselves. Give
yourself fully to God. He will use you to
accomplish great things on the
condition that you believe much more
in his love than in your weakness.
-Mother Teresa
6. There is a light in this world, a healing
spirit more powerful than any darkness we
may encounter. We sometimes lose sight
of this force when there is suffering, too
much pain. Then suddenly, the spirit will
emerge through the lives of ordinary
people who hear a call and answer in
extraordinary ways.
-Mother Teresa
7. I feel the greatest destroyer of peace
today is “Abortion”, because it is a war
against the child… A direct killing of
the innocent child, “Murder” by the
mother herself… And if we can accept
that a mother can kill even her own
child, how can we tell other people not
to kill one another? How do we
persuade a woman not to have an
abortion? As always, we must persuade
her with love… And we remind
ourselves that love means to be willing
to give until it hurts…
-Mother Teresa
8. I try to give to the poor people for love
what the rich could get for money. No,
I wouldn’t touch a leper for a thousand
pounds; yet I willingly cure him for the
love of God.
-Mother Teresa
9. In the silence of the heart God speaks. If
you face God in prayer and silence, God will
speak to you. Then you will know that you
are nothing. It is only when you realize your
nothingness, your emptiness, that God can
fill you with Himself. Souls of prayer are
souls of great silence.
-Mother Teresa
10. Smile at each other. Smile at your
wife, smile at your husband, smile at
your children, smile at each other- it
doesn’t matter who it is- and that will
help to grow up in greater love for
each other.
-Mother Teresa
