• Egyptians believed in many superstitions.
• They were more scared of the gods then other armies.
• One superstition was that if you died in a foreign country, you
would not have an after life.
• Another one is if you dream you had the face of a leopard it is said
that you will become a great leader.
• If you dream that your teeth are falling out then someone that you
loved would die.

3. Egypt
• In Egypt many people believed in thousands of gods.
• These gods were very important to the Egyptians and were said to
control their life.
• Egyptians had many ways to worship these gods.
• They made offerings to the god Osiris every day because he
promised afterlife.
• All the gods had roles to play in the making of the earth. e.g.. Osiris
has the role of the underworld and afterlife.

4. Egypt
• In Egypt people took death very seriously.
• If you died you would be wrapped up as a mummy and put in a tomb.
• If you were wealthy or an emperor than your tomb would carry jewels and
many precious things.
• The Egyptians did this to set up for the afterlife.
• They believed that there was a whole other life after you died and if you
treated the gods well in your first life then your afterlife would be better.

5. Greece
• In ancient Greece the people believed that there were many different
gods.
• These gods explain the reasonings for all the stuff that happens on
earth, e.g.. Zeus is the god of the sky and he creates all of the storms.
• If you worshiped the Greek gods by taking part in ceremonies and
giving offerings then you would have a better life.
• Zeus was the king god and he was the most powerful.

6. Greece
• The ancient Greeks had to give prayers and sacrifices for part of their
religion.
• Visiting oracles and taking part in festivals were also part of their religion.
• If you attended one of these ceremonies it gave you power in a magical
way.
• When you worshiped these gods they helped you in return.
• In Mesopotamia people were afraid of the dead and were not
mummified.

7. Mesopotamia
• In Mesopotamia there are many gods.
• The Mesopotamian’s believed that all the forces of nature were caused by
gods.
• There were 4 creator gods who created all the aspects of the world.
• These gods were An the god of the sky, Enlil the god of storms and the
god to help man, Nin-Kuhursag the goddess of earth and Enki the god of
water and wisdom.

8. Mesopotamia
• These gods effected Mankind greatly.
• The Summerians had a ceremony every year at the start where they
thought that the gods chose what the next year would be like.
• The gods also supposedly fought, drank and argued.
• To keep the gods happy, the priests had to give sacrifices and hold
ceremonies.
• In Mesopotamia people were afraid of the dead and were not
mummified.

• In Canada there are many religions.
• People come from all over the world to live here.
• This makes Canada a vary diverse culture.
• One of the main cultures is Catholic
• The Catholics believe in one god named God.
• This God was the creator of the world.
• They believe that jesus was the son of god and he died one day on the
cross, then came back to life after he was put in his tomb.

• The First Nation religions were the first religion on Canada and are still
around today.
• The first Nations believe in many gods.
• They tell stories about how the earth was created and what causes
everything.
• They have gods for most of the animals, for example the raven god.
• The First Nations worship all the animals after they kill them to say
thanks for the food.

• The Romans believed in many gods.
• The most important god was Jupiter, he was the king god.
• There many other gods named after planets including Neptune,Venus and
Mars.
• Even one Roman emperor was considered a god.
• These gods represented all the aspects of the earth.

• They made temples to worship the gods.
• These temples were built throughout the roman empire.
• Each of the gods had a festival day.
• During the festival the romans made a holiday and they worshiped the god
