2. Summary of myth:
• First, Mother Earth becomes her first three groups of
children; Cyclopes, Titans and unknown three sons… They
were all not good-looking.
• Then, when Zeus finds out how his father ate all of his
brothers and sisters he went to get revenge and finally
killed his father; Zeus. Zeus, was not strong enough to beat
his own son.
• Cronus then became the ruler of the world. And when he
had children with his wife, he was scared that his children
would also beat him up so he ate them and ate them, until
there were no children left. When the last child was born
his wife brought it to the island of Crete.
Message of myth:
Nature myth (explains something in nature)
If you are scared from an object in nature it is most likely that
you will be scared of it; or hide from it for the rest of your life!
Moral myth (explains a lesson on how people should live or behave)
You shouldn’t do something to someone, if you are scared they
might do it back to you; it doesn’t resolve well. Since you are
always scared: you probably won’t be able to get over the fear.
