  • 2. Toshiba is one brand that might be able to get your attention, due to their elegantdesign and other understated features. Their mainstream laptops consistently getnice reviews, but they do have one niche product that has been continuouslygrowing – gaming laptops. The new Qosmio x870 – 119 gaming laptop is one of Toshiba’s proudest moments. They threw everything out the window and decided to stuff a laptop with thecraziest parts.Has their effort pulled off? Will people actually sell old laptopand buy this thing?Let’s find out.LooksTo make this laptop distinguishable from other gaming laptops, the Qosmio featuresa red line around the edge of the body. This gives the laptop a two – tone lookwhen closed. Opened, the entire laptop looks simpler, akin to a generic laptop. The lid is also simple, featuring just a Qosmio logo. Weighing 7.5 pounds, this is noordinary laptop. While still portable, you’ll want to place the laptop somewhere youdon’t have to constantly move around.Source:http://technogoblog.wordpress.com/2012/08/15/the-canadian-panther-eurocom-panther-4-0-review/
  • 3. It’s also a little thick, measuring 1.7 inches at the back, but thankfully thins down to1.15 inches towards the front.Overall, quality is good, thanks to the aluminum body.DisplayThe laptop features a nice 17.3 – inch display with a native resolution of 1920 x1080p HD. With a gaming laptop 1080p HD is expected, so you won’t bedisappointed with this screen. One of the most amazing things about this display is that is supports 3D. Because ofthat, you get 3D glasses from NVIDIA.3D games, movies and everything else looks great, not just because it’s in 3D, butbecause the hardware powering the 3D is high quality, which we’ll look at later. In terms of viewing angles, they’re very impressive. You can watch a movie with atleast two or three other people and the colors won’t wash out.Source:http://technogoblog.wordpress.com/2012/08/15/the-canadian-panther-eurocom-panther-4-0-review/
  • 4. HardwareSince we’ve mentioned that this laptop supports 3D, let’s take a look at the GPU.The Qosmio is equipped with NVIDIA’s GTX 670M, which is one of NVIDIA’s best.Battlefield 3 pumps out impressive frame rates in high settings. However, don’t expect to crank your games to maximum in 3D. Frame rates dropsignificantly, but you’ll be able to get better performance at lower settings.Matching the powerful GPU is an equally powerful CPU. This laptop comes with anIntel Ivy Bridge i7 – 3610QM processor. Like the 680M, the 3610QM is one of Intel’sfastest, so you can expect amazing performance. To help with the massive memory usage of 3D, you get 16 GB of RAM. That’s plentyof room to play all of your games and whatnot. You also get a 128 GB SSD where the OS is installed for amazing boot up time andoverall speed. You also get a 1 TB hard drive for all of your other needs.Source:http://technogoblog.wordpress.com/2012/08/15/the-canadian-panther-eurocom-panther-4-0-review/
