  • 2. Capitalization Names Capitalize a person’s title (such as Governor, President) or family term (such as Mother, Dad, Grandma, Uncle) when it is followed by a name or when you use the title or term as a name.
  • 3. Capitalization The bill was introduced by S enator Griffin. My friend’s mother is a state s enator. I spoke to U ncle Charlie today. Charlie is my favorite u ncle. When D ad speaks, no one listens. When my d ad speaks, no one listens.
