Nachos originated in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico in 1943 when the owner of the Victory Club restaurant, Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya, was asked to create a snack for some U.S. soldiers and improvised a dish combining tortilla chips with melted cheese.

- Nachos originated in the city of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, In 1943, the wives of U.S. soldiers stationed at Fort Duncan They wanted to eat, but it was closed. It was then that Ignacio Anaya, the waiter in charge, prepared a dish with the remains he had: fried wheat tortillas, cheese and jalapeños. After that nachos were incluyed in the menu and a lot of restaurant around mexico incluyed in the menu .
