2. What is it?
The Scarisoara Glacier Cave is one of the most attractive
tourist destinations in the region of Transylvania.

It is located in Apuseni mountains,in the Apuseni National
Park and is located at 1265 metres of altitude. It is an
underground cave - the largest in Romania, which has the
second largest glacier in the world.
4. When it was formed?
It seems that it was formed during the Ice Age, when the
Apuseni Mountains were in the Glacial Period

The Glacier Cave of Scarisoara has an area of 730 metres by
105 metres of depth, and the entrance 50 metres wide and 50
metres of depth.
