no sÃ³lo nos sitÃºa ante los hechos historiogrÃ¡ficos sino que tambiÃ©n nos los presenta bien mediante un
diagnÃ³stico gnoseolÃ³gico o aproximÃ¡ndonos a su significado historiogrÃ¡fico; asÃ, localiza los inicios de la
Historia como ciencia en las tÃ©cnicas de registro (estelas, inscripciones, listas de reyes) y seÃ±ala la cristalizaciÃ³n
del gÃ©nero de literatura histÃ³rica en Grecia, a la par que el surgimiento de las ciencias (GeometrÃa, AritmÃ©tica) y
de la FilosofÃa. Pero la moderna Historia no aparecerÃ¡ hasta el siglo XIX en Alemania, de la mano de la Escuela de
Gotinga, primero, y, posteriormente, con Leopold von Ranke, cuya teorÃa descripcionista de la Historia queda
resumida en una conocida frase: Â«lo que realmente sucediÃ³Â» A partir de este momento, Moradiellos hace el
recorrido del siglo XIX (influencia del nacionalismo en EspaÃ±a, Estados Unidos y Francia e institucionalizaciÃ³n de
la Historia, influencia de Marx) y del siglo XX (crÃtica al paradigma positivista descripcionista, apariciÃ³n de la

humanos pretÃ©ritos. Desde el principio la historia comenzÃ³ a tener dos significados
