Our Introduction
Blindness in Pakistan
Our Achievements
Our Immediate Plans
Our Long Term Future Plan
info@visiontrust.pk
4. • Despite tremendous developments
in ophthalmology, access of the
poor, here in Pakistan, to Quality Eye
Care remains a far cry in this day
and age.
5. Woes of middle class
They can not stand in long hallway queues
Are educated and quality conscious
No employer support and no health insurance
Can’t afford private and decent health care facility
Can’t spread hands
Woes of those living at or below poverty line is
actually slightly better as all Gov. Hospitals and
NGO’s are focused for them
Not quality conscious and have no other choice.
6. • No body likes to pay Taxes so Limited
resources
• Defense expenditure
• Debt servicing
• Little substantial will or means to address
this primary issue
• Claims are grossly inadequate to meet
requirements of masses in terms of health
care, what to talk of quality.
7. • It was felt by the Trustees, to try and
help bridge this gap, on the basis of
self help, with a primary focus on
woes of middle class with reference
to quality eye care.
• Filter benefits to those requiring free
of cost treatments.
8. • The Trust would strive to make
quality eye care accessible to all
sections of the society, starting from
middle class of urban populace
extending down to the less
fortunate.
9. • Task is big, and resources limited,
yet we feel our direction is right.
